O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

For verily Lewis Carroll hath said true:

The Leftywock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

That it did when spotting the March 15 post on this blog (should have known, beware the Ides of March!) which began:

Over the weekend Congressman Steve King (R-IA) tweeted: “[Geert] Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies.”  This self evident fact has been causing Leftist heads to explode all over the place.

Like moths to flame, like bears to honey, like flies to **** they came whiffling with indignation and burbling with righteous rage!  The whiffled their burbling emails right to St. Bede’s Catholic Church, which had so graciously hosted us and will do so again on April 5th.  What do I mean?  Whatever am I talking about?  Behold!

Hi. Just a note to say that, as a follower of Christ, I am very disturbed to know that your church is allowing a group like “Republican Club of the Foothills” to meet at church. A group that specifically laments “other people’s children” (immigrants) being in our country should not be meeting in a church where believers embrace the truth that we are ALL simply GOD’s children. Please reconsider allowing this hate group to meet here.

and,

and,

I’ve learned that your church hosts The Republican Club of the Foothills.
In this post on their website:http:// associationforaresponsiblefutu re.org/?p=659
They demonstrate a racist and anti-immigrant viewpoint which has no place in a house of worship, let alone any house. It’s a shame that you are aiding a group with reprehensible ideas and kindly request you reconsider this aid

Six of these emails appeared in rapid succession.  To the best of my knowledge none of these “deeply concerned” people are parishoners at St. Bede’s.  But all have essentially the same message.  Boiled down to its essence the message is this:

St. Bede’s Church, you are bad for hosting these bad people.  We want them to shut up and we are going to call you names too if you don’t help us shut them up.”  Or more succinctly, “Shut up!”  To this point St. Bede’s has stood firm and supported the Club’s right to free speech, especially given that we exercise our right to free speech responsibly.

So what’s next?  If these enemies of freedom continue true to form, Vox Day has summarized their game plan as follows:

  1. Locate or create a violation of the narrative (done!)
  2. Point and shriek (that’s where we are now)
  3. Isolate and swarm (if St. Bedes’s doesn’t comply this is next) (there’s more, read it all.)

So be aware that the Republican Club is under attack by the Left.  Typically it is at this point that most nice conservatives begin to feel uncomfortable and fold, ceding the Pinkos and their agitprop nutjobs another victory.  St. Bede’s is going to come under a lot of pressure, and they will need a lot of support.  So support them as long as they are supporting us.

In the same reference Day also outlines the correct approach to defeating these attacks:

  1. Recognize that an attack is happening (ahem, I AM bringing it to your attention), remain calm (no need to panic, we can win this) and Realize that nobody but us cares that this is happening.
  2. Don’t try to reason with them.  They are in a religious frenzy and are immune to reason.
  3. Do not apologize.  Nothing was said or done that merits an apology, an apology only admits we did something wrong and they will turn it against us.
  4. Accept your fate.  We might very well be asked to leave by St. Bede’s, get used to the idea and don’t take it personally.  We will continue at another venue if necessary.
  5. Document their every word and action.  What they say and do will serve as ammunition against them.
  6. Do not resign.  In this case that means don’t voluntarily slink away, tail between legs.  If St. Bede’s wants us out, let them throw us out.
  7. Make the rubble bounce.  Find out who these anti American moonbats are and go after them.  When I was in the Navy and the ship came under fire from shore the response was Rapid Continuous Fire!  RCF, remind you of anything?  RCF the hell out of them.  Who do these idiots think they’re tangling with?

Alinsky’s Rules cut both ways.  Do they want war (yes they do!)?  We have the tactics, we have the ammunition, we have the determination and we have something precious to defend.  Our liberty and our descendants’ liberty.

That makes me happy.  Callooh! Callay!
